The towns of Piran and Portorož are located at about 20 minute walking distance from the conference venue. There are many other lodging options there, as well.
Portorož and Piran are accessible through a number of different routes.
There are several airports in the vicinity of Portorož, which provide good connections to Europe and beyond. Ljubljana (Slovenia), Trieste (Italy), Venice (Italy), Treviso (Italy), Pula (Croatia) and Zagreb (Croatia) airports are all relatively close by, while low-cost airlines operate on most of them.

A well-organized shuttle service, GoOpti, operates between Ljubljana, all airports and the conference venue, providing an economical and time-efficient transportation.
However, it is desirable to book a shuttle in advance (prices and availability).
Portorož can be reached by train via Koper or Trieste. Slovenian railroads will take you from Koper to most European cities via Ljubljana. Germany, Hungary, Austria, Czech Republic, Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Switzerland are all connected via direct routes with Ljubljana. Between Koper and the conference venue in Portorož local buses run, connecting the three cities on Slovenia's coastline - Koper, Izola and Portorož.

The nearby city of Trieste has a major train station that has direct connections to Venice, Vienna, and other locations.
After you arrive in Koper or Trieste by train, you will have to take a bus or a GoOpti Shuttle service to St. Bernardin Conference Centre in Portorož.
You may also use GoOpti to get from Ljubljana train station to Portorož.Koper has a central bus station and is well connected with numerous cities in Europe. You may inquire in your travel agencies on the best way to get there. Depending on your origin, if you are unable to find direct fares to Koper, you may travel through bus stations in Ljubljana (Slovenia) or Trieste (Italy).

A low-cost FLIXBUS and NOMAGO also serve Koper and neighboring towns.
The central location of Slovenia and the conference venue enable easy access by car from a number of different European countries. Within a 500 km radius lie the capitals of Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Czech Republic, Italy, Serbia and Slovak Republic.
